Ohio State will add a new section of premium seating to Ohio Stadium's south end zone in 2026.
According to an Ohio State press release on Tuesday, the athletic department has plans to construct nine elevated field-level suites with 12-person capacities in the south stands. The suites will also have 400 premium chairback seats situated on top of them, with the press release describing them as "the widest chairback seats in the stadium."
“We’re proud to introduce a premium seating area on the field level in the south end zone of Ohio Stadium – an investment that reflects our deep commitment to enhancing the fan experience,” Ohio State Athletic Director Ross Bjork said in a statement. “This addition is designed for passionate members of Buckeye Nation, bringing greater comfort, improved access to the field level, and a wider range of seating options to better serve even more fans.
“It also marks a small key step in the ongoing modernization of Ohio Stadium – ensuring this iconic and wonderful venue continues to evolve while honoring the traditions that make it so special. We’re dedicated to making every visit to the ’Shoe unforgettable, and this enhancement is another meaningful stride toward delivering the best possible game day experience.”
Ohio Stadium's future field-level suites have a similar model to those seen in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the location of Ohio State's 2024 national title. The Buckeyes won the championship game over Notre Dame, capping off a College Football Playoff run that also included victories over Tennessee, Oregon and Texas.

Each of the 400 chairback seat purchases will also include full admission to the brand new 1922 Club, which features all-inclusive food and drink opportunities before, during and after the game. Deposits for the 400 premium chairback seats, priced at $6,000 for a season, are now being accepted, and fans have until June 27 to reserve seats and become an inaugural member. Suite sales, which also include full admission to the 1922 Club, will begin at a later date.
In anticipation of the new suites and chairback seats, the Ohio State marching band announced Tuesday that it will move to the north end zone in 2025. The Best Damn Band in the Land will perform from sections 3AA and 5AA, the same location where the band performed before Ohio Stadium underwent renovations in 2001.
New seats for the OSUMB this season! We're excited to be back in the north end of the stadium just like the band was prior to the 2001 Ohio Stadium renovation.
