After each Ohio State win in 2023, we will select one offensive Buckeye and one defensive Buckeye with player of the game honors.

Following Ohio State's 24-10 win over Wisconsin in Week 9, running back TreVeyon Henderson is the Eleven Warriors offensive player of the game, and defensive tackle Tyleik Williams is the defensive player of the game.

After a three-game absence due to an ailment he suffered from a "cheap shot" in the Notre Dame, Henderson returned to Ohio State's backfield with a high-volume, high-production performance vs. Wisconsin. Henderson received 24 carries for 162 yards and one touchdown and added four receptions for 45 yards as a pass-catcher.

Henderson's 24 carries were the second-most of Henderson's career behind the 28 he received vs. Penn State in 2021, and his 162 yards also ranked second behind the 270 he tallied vs. Tulsa in 2021.

After the game, Henderson shared a positive outlook on his performance with NBC sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen and explained that he "trusted God" the past three weeks as he worked to return to full strength for the Buckeyes.

"It felt great, man. It's a blessing to get back out here," Henderson said. "I took a cheap shot at the beginning of the Notre Dame game, but God healed me and allowed me to get back here, man. I am so thankful — so thankful."

Williams has been one of Ohio State's best defenders in 2023. That was also true on Saturday, as the talented interior defensive lineman collected four tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one pass breakup versus the Badgers.

This season, Williams ranks sixth on the team with 33 tackles. He leads the Buckeyes with eight tackles for loss in eight games, with the next-closest player, defensive end JT Tuimoloau, recording five. Williams' other statistics include two sacks, five pass breakups, one quarterback hit, one fumble recovery and one defensive touchdown.

Henderson and Tuimoloau are the eighth pair of Buckeyes to be named Eleven Warriors players of the game in 2023. Williams has now received the honor three times this season, while Henderson is a first-time honoree.

We will keep a running chart of all the recipients as the season continues, with the individual awards to be posted on our social media accounts and the website each Sunday after an Ohio State win.
