For the first time since 2021, an Ohio State cornerback has an interception on his stat sheet.

Playing picturesque coverage against a go route from Youngstown State receiver Bryce Oliver, Burke high-pointed the football and won a contested catch to come down with his second career interception.

It was the first pick of the season for Ohio State's defense and the first by an OSU cornerback since Cam Brown picked one off against Penn State on Oct. 30, 2021.

The play kept the Penguins off the scoreboard after they drove to the Buckeyes' 32-yard line, maintaining a 28-7 lead for OSU.

Burke's interception follows a strong Week 1 performance in coverage against Indiana, a game in which he broke up two passes.

Early signs look good for a resurgent year for Burke, who saw his numbers dip in 2022 after a breakout freshman campaign in 2021.
