As Ohio State prepares to travel to Evanston next week, Ohio State has opened as a 36-point favorite over Northwestern in the first regular season meeting between these teams since 2019.

The corresponding over/under currently sits at 63½ points, which would be the third-largest the Buckeyes have had heading into a game this season and the largest between these teams in any of their last eight matchups dating back to 2006.

Ohio State owns a 4-3-1 record against the spread across its 2022 campaign after a garbage-time touchdown from Penn State yesterday prevented the Buckeyes from covering a 15½-point margin of victory. Meanwhile, Northwestern owns a 3-5 ATS record after losing to Iowa by more than 8½ points this past weekend in a 33-13 defeat on the road.

Concerning point totals, Ohio State has hit the over in six straight contests after helping to achieve the under in its first two games. Northwestern has seen the over cash in each of its last three matchups, but assisted in accomplishing the under in four straight games prior to build a 4-4 overall record on the season.

Ohio State has covered the spread in four straight clashes on the road against Northwestern. The over has also hit five times in a row across the last five games played in Evanston between these schools.
