Miyan Williams added another accolade to his resume on Monday when the Big Ten named him offensive player of the week following his performance against Rutgers.
Williams was unstoppable on Saturday, carrying the football 21 times for 189 yards and five touchdowns and powering the Buckeyes to a 49-10 win over the Scarlet Knights. His five scores tied him with Pete Johnson and Keith Byars for the Ohio State single-game rushing touchdown record.
With that said, Williams was a no-brainer for the Big Ten offensive player of the week award. This recognition comes after he was named the Eleven Warriors offensive player of the game and Ohio State's offensive player of the week on Sunday.

Throughout the first four games, Williams performed well next to TreVeyon Henderson in the Ohio State backfield, but with Henderson unable to participate against Rutgers because of an injury, he significantly impacted the Buckeye offense to the tune of a 39-point win.
In 2022, Williams has carried the ball 64 times for 497 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns across five contests. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the third-year running back will also set career highs in carries and yards after toting the rock only 71 times for 507 yards last season alongside Henderson and former Buckeye Master Teague.
Wiiliams' Big Ten offensive player of the week award adds him to a list of Buckeyes to claim the honor this season. Marvin Harrison Jr. started the trend with a Big Ten co-offensive player of the week honor after his three-touchdown performance against the Red Wolves, and C.J. Stroud won the same accolade outright following a five-score outing against Toledo. After Ohio State's conference opener with Wisconsin, Tommy Eichenberg won Big Ten co-defensive player of the week with 14 tackles and two tackles for loss against the Badgers.
