For the first time since they enrolled at Ohio State, the Buckeyes' 11 early enrollees and transfers were made available to reporters on Wednesday.

Some of the discussion centered around defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Freshman linebacker C.J. Hicks said Knowles has made a good first impression.

“If you give 100%, you’ll have a good relationship with him. He doesn’t like guys who give half-effort,” Hicks said.

Meanwhile, the OSU player who knows Knowles best is Oklahoma State transfer safety Tanner McCalister, who says Jim Knowles’ defense is going to be aggressive.

“A lot of defenses react to what offenses like to do. Coach Knowles wants offenses to react to what we like to do,” McCalister said Wednesday.

Nearly everyone that spoke detailed their recruitment process and how they ended up at Ohio State, plus their hopes to get on the field as soon as possible.

Hear from Hicks, McCalister, Gabe Powers, Ryan Turner, Devin Brown, Jyaire Brown, George Fitzpatrick, DeaMonte Trayanum, Caden Curry, Kye Stokes, Kyion Grayes and Bennett Christian in the videos below.
