The junior wideout, who led Ohio State in receptions (43) and receiving yards (687) before missing last weekend's Nebraska game due to concussion protocol, was not listed on the team's official status report Saturday. Ryan Day said Tuesday that Wilson had returned to practice early in the week after missing a game for the first time this season.
Master Teague, however, will be unavailable for the third time in the last four games. The fourth-year running back will be sidelined again for Saturday's matchup with Purdue, per the team's official status report, after missing the Buckeyes' meetings with Indiana and Penn State over the past few weeks. Teague returned to action against Nebraska last week, but received just two carries on five snaps.
Teague's 45 carries on the season are second only to TreVeyon Henderson, who has taken 128 as a true freshman. In the past two games, Henderson has received 49 carries, while no other Buckeye rusher has taken more than four.
“I’ve been impressed with how he's been able to handle the amount of carries. Whether we have that happen again this week, we’ll see," Ryan Day said Tuesday. “We certainly would like to see them split up a little bit. It’s a lot to ask for a young player, but we’re getting some of the guys back that are in that room.”
Ohio State will also be without junior offensive lineman Harry Miller, who has been unavailable in all but two games for the Buckeyes this season.
Besides Teague and Miller, 13 other Ohio State players were listed as unavailable for Saturday's game. Two players who were not on last week's report are freshmen offensive linemen Toby Wilson and Jack Forsman.
Fourth-year safety Marcus Hooker, who has played mostly on special teams while logging 40 snaps on defense, will be a game-time decision for the Buckeyes.
Kickoff between the Buckeyes and Boilermakers is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Ohio Stadium.
