As Ohio State readies for action, it's time for some final predictions.

The No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes visit the reeling Nebraska Cornhuskers for a noon clash at Memorial Stadium. Considering known villain Purdue and both Michigan schools lie ahead, this B1G West road trip could objectively be viewed as a trap game.

Nebraska - losers of three consecutive one-score heartbreakers - opened as a 15.5-point home underdog, with a projected scoring total of 64 points.

Eleven Warriors Staff Score Predictions

Garrick Hodge: Ohio State 42, Nebraska 28. "Nebraska will continue its puzzling trend this season of playing competitive football, albeit losing almost every time. Print those “best 3-7 team in the country” T-shirts now."

Kevin Harrish: Ohio State 49 Nebraska 14. "I think Nebraska might be the best 3-6 team of all time, but Ohio State’s still going to roll. The Huskers can’t slow down or keep up with this Buckeye offense."

Johnny Ginter: Ohio State 38, Nebraska 17. "I have no real explanation for this prediction other than an acute case of the road heebie-jeebies. A win, but one we're annoyed about."

Kyle Jones: Ohio State 41, Nebraska 21. "The Huskers are a lot better than their record indicates but the Rushmen have their way with a weak OL."

"I think our offense will be angry and make adjustments. Nebraska is a really good 3-6 team."

Griffin Strom: Ohio State 41, Nebraska 20. "I expect Ohio State’s recent offensive performances to average out against the Huskers, but that will still be enough to hand Scott Frost and company their first double-digit loss of the season."

Andy Vance: Ohio State 49, Nebraska 20. "Over the past four games Ohio State is averaging 51 points per game and allowing just 15. Nebraska is averaging just 25 points of offense over its three-game losing streak. Ohio State’s best-in-class offense will leave the Black Shirts feeling black and blue Saturday afternoon."

Will Ohio State Cover?

The current Vegas spread sits at Ohio State 15 after the Buckeyes opened as 15.5-point favorites over Nebraska earlier this week.

With the current odds, 85.7% percent (12 of 14) of our staff predictions have Ohio State covering while the other 14.3% percent (2 of 14) have the Buckeyes winning, but not covering.

Nobody predicted Nebraska to win outright.

What About the Over?

The game scoring total opened at 64 points earlier this week, but has since risen to 65.

Of our 14 predictions, 8 are picking the game to go under the total while the remaining 6 predict the over to hit. Seventy-six points is the highest predicted scoring total while 52 is the lowest.
