Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. Across the Shield follows those who once wore Scarlet and Gray on their journeys through the NFL.

Tyquan Lewis Records First Career Sacks

Greet the newest Buckeye stud in the National Football League.

Out of nowhere, in his sixth career NFL game, defensive lineman Tyquan Lewis exploded for two sacks as the Indianapolis Colts shut out the Cowboys.

One sack came in the final moments of the first quarter and effectively killed a Cowboys drive that had reached midfield:

Deep into the second quarter, Lewis struck again.

Lewis finished with four tackles and his first two career sacks. Hopefully, it's the first of many!

Underneath the Colts shutout laid another fantastic moment...

Good Guy Ezekiel Elliott

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is a good guy. When he saw a fan holding up a sign saying it was his first Cowboys game ever, Zeke came up to him after the game and handed him some signed cleats.

Kicks from Zeke is a pretty cool way to end your Sunday afternoon.

A thing that was great about this moment is that the Cowboys got blown out, and Zeke (only) rushed for 87 yards on 16 carries, but still took the time to do that for a fan.

Great jersey by the fan behind him, by the way.

Sam Hubbard Joins the Sack Party

Man, was Sam Hubbard good on Sunday.

Even with Lewis having a career day, Hubbard still managed to find the Buckeye spotlight with two sacks of his own.

The first sack by Hubbard also caused a forced fumble, which the Bengals recovered.

Again, later in the game, Hubbard got to the quarterback once more.

Priding himself in refining his craft, Hubbard has shows flashes of greatness this season.

He spoke to reporters after the game:

Other news regarding Buckeyes coming from this game was not so good as cornerback Gareon Conley was forced to leave the game with a concussion.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden had admonished Conley earlier in the season, but the former first-round draft choice was coming on lately. Hopefully, he gets back soon.
