Video: Ohio State's Tight End Legacy

For years, fans have clamored about the lack of tight end action in Ohio State's offense. But actually, the Buckeyes due use the tight end. To prove it, the program released a short video highlighting some of the greats to play the position in Columbus over the years.

Here's new offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Kevin Wilson:

The video features:

  • Jan White, 1970 consensus All-American, 1970 national champion, and 1971 second-round draft pick
  • John Frank, 1984 second-round draft pick and Super Bowl XXIII Champion
  • Rickey Dudley, the No. 9 overall pick of the 1996 draft
  • Ben Hartsock, 2002 national champion and 2004 third-round pick
  • Jake Ballard, four-time Big Ten champion and Super Bowl XLVI winner
  • Jake Stoneburner, who finished his career with 714 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns
  • Jeff Heuerman, 2014 national champion and Super Bowl L winner
  • Nick Vannett, 2014 national champion and 2016 third-round draft pick.

It also features Ohio State's current tight end crop, Marcus Baugh and A.J. Alexander, as well as their fiery coach, the aforementioned Wilson.
