Finding the right fit for your college football program isn't just about what happens on the field, but off it as well. Today, Ohio State added a key piece. How will that commitment impact the Buckeyes?

New Jersey defensive back Jordan Fuller has committed to the Buckeyes. A long-time target for the Buckeyes, Fuller chose the Buckeyes over Notre Dame and Michigan moments ago.

What does the latest addition bring to the Buckeyes? Let's take a look.

ON THE FIELD

Simply put, there's not much Jordan Fuller can't do on the football field. He's played wide receiver, quarterback and all over the secondary in his career and excelled at each spot.

One source close to the Buckeyes couldn't help but rave about the four-star and what he can bring to the Ohio State secondary.

"Fuller is an elite athlete, and he did everything for his team: offense, defense and special teams," the source said. "He's got length that's tough to find and proved he had corner ability at the US Army All-American Bowl too, even though he played safety in high school. That's a rare combo to find a 6-foot-1, almost 200-pound kid that has skills like that."

IN THE CLASS

There are few players that the Buckeyes look at, evaluate and get to know who they know they're going to hold a spot for until signing day, but Fuller was one of them.

As a defensive back, Fuller joins a group that could–depending on who you ask–be considered underwhelming. He's another versatile defensive back who could play cornerback or safety for the Buckeyes, but I think he's more likely to get his first crack at playing time at cornerback. He'll join Kareem Felder, Wayne DavisJahsen Wint and former Louisville commitment Rodjay Burns as new faces that are expected in the defensive back room next fall, though Burns' commitment is tenuous at this point.

The Buckeyes' 23rd commitment, Fuller's pledge increases Ohio State's lead as the Big Ten's best 2016 recruiting class.

THE INTANGIBLES

Similar to Nick Bosa, Jordan Fuller's genetics are worth mentioning. His father played at TCU, his brother Devin just wrapped up his career at UCLA and there's some speculation that Jordan is the most athletically-inclined of the group.

To beat Michigan and Notre Dame for his services, Fuller and his family had to believe that Ohio State was not only the best fit on the field, but off of it as well. That speaks volumes about the changes that have been made reputation-wise for the school itself.

To sum it up, Fuller is the total package.

"He was the Player of the Year in a loaded state," our source said. "He's a leader. He's a winner. He's a good kid from a good family and has good bloodlines"

What's not to like?
