Welcome to The Hurry Up, which runs Sunday through Thursday, serving as your last stop for recruiting news and notes nightly. We'll recap the day as it happened and preview the days ahead while keeping our ear to the ground on the Ohio State recruiting scene.

FLORIDA FIVE-STARS CHECK OUT OHIO STATE

Late last night, Jacksonville 2017 five-star cornerback Shaun Wade announced he'd be visiting Ohio State today.

Wade was not the only five-star from Florida to make the trip. Florida State commitment DJ Matthews, a 6-foot-tall, 180-pound wide receiver from First Coast High School in Jacksonville, was one of a handful of players accompanying him. For Wade, the visit was another opportunity to check out the Buckeyes and to develop his relationship with the coaching staff.

"We had been planning this trip," Wade, the country's 2nd-ranked 2017 corner said. "I just didn't know the dates. I had a great visit, it was just a good day to be up here and to spend with the coaches."

Wade and his teammates will continue their tour and will make their final two stops at Auburn and Alabama. He says he's trying to arrange a return to Ohio State for Friday Night Lights in July.

LANDON YOUNG SHUTS DOWN RECRUITMENT

One of the more interesting developments in Ohio State's 2016 recruiting class, at least in the last few weeks, was the emergence of Kentucky commit Landon Young as a top remaining target for the Buckeyes. Young visited Columbus two weeks ago and although the Buckeyes are content at offensive line as it stands, he was a player they felt was worth the continued pursuit.

That pursuit, however, appears to be finished as Young took to social media last night to end his recruitment, period.

The Buckeyes will continue to monitor offensive lineman, but right now, the odds of a three-man recruiting class are pretty good.

JAYLON JONES VISIT EXPECTED

One of the more important visits for Ohio State's one-day camp next Friday, June 19th, is expected from Allen, Texas 2016 defensive back Jaylon Jones.

The country's 17th-ranked cornerback, Jones has offers from most of the country's biggest names and most suspect he'll end up at Texas A&M but he's a player that the Buckeyes have made a priority. He has recently released a Top Six schools list and Ohio State has made the cut.

Can Ohio State steal a big-timer from Texas? The defensive backfield questions in 2016 don't appear to be getting any closer to an answer.

AJIAN WILL CAMP FOR BUCKEYES NEXT WEEK

Back to the 2017 defensive back question, Ohio State will get an up-close-and-personal look at Ohio's best for the cycle, Mansfield's Tyrell Ajian will camp with the Buckeyes on Tuesday, June 16th.

"I'll be at Ohio State next week, Tuesday," Ajian told 11W. "I talk to (Chris) Ash whenever we can. (Recruiting) is still kind of overwhelming."

The four-star prospect, ranked as the country's 44th best overall prospect, has Michigan, Tennessee and Cincinnati among his five, but he's got a busy week coming up.

"I'll be at Michigan State on the 13th, Ohio State on the 16th, Notre Dame on the 19th, and Penn State on the 21st," Ajian said of his travel plans. "All in June. I'm just going to try and have fun with it."

DONOVAN JETER CAMPS WITH BUCKEYES

The Buckeyes have been working hard in Pennsylvania for a long time and today they hosted one of the Keystone State's top 2017 prospects. Donovan Jeter, a 6-foot-4, 260-pounder was on campus and received some special attention from Ohio State's Larry Johnson.

Today's camp at Ohio State was a little less rigorous than some of the one-day versions, but Jeter was still able to get some valuable time with Johnson and the Buckeye staff.

Ohio State has not yet offered the Beaver Falls product, but he holds offers from Penn State, Michigan State, Maryland, Nebraska, Pittsburgh and West Virginia among his near dozen.
