Lost in all the hot takes and breaking headlines of Kevin Durant heading to the Evil Empire and Dwyane Wade taking more money to go home to Chicago, the NBA Summer League is in full swing. Included in the Summer League are six former Buckeyes playing for various teams in the Orlando, Utah and Las Vegas leagues.

While the Las Vegas Summer League doesn't tip off until Friday, there has been no shortage of action in Orlando and Utah over the past five days. Let's take a look at the top performing Buckeyes.

DeShaun Thomas (Charlotte Hornets)

Playing in his third-straight NBA Summer League, Thomas has enjoyed relative success with the Charlotte Hornets. Thomas is averaging 12.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while shooting a respectable 44.2 percent from the floor. He checks in at No. 20 among all scorers in the Orlando Summer League and his best performance came on July 2 against the Orlando Magic when he poured in 19 points and five rebounds. We know score comes naturally for Thomas — he averaged 14.7 points per game last season in 47 games for the Austin Spurs of the NBA Developmental League.

Sam Thompson is also on the Hornets summer league roster, logging seven minutes in two games and collecting one rebound.

Aaron Craft (Utah Jazz)

Playing in the Utah Summer League, Craft has been fairly productive in two games, averaging 6.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Craft's best performance was on Monday against the Spurs when he finished with eight points and two steals. Looking to crack an NBA roster, Craft is coming off a solid 2015-16 season in the D-League, where he averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game for the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Jordan Sibert (Orlando Magic)

While a Dayton alum, Sibert is still a former Buckeye and is taking part in his second-straight Summer League with the Orlando Magic. Sibert finished with five points and a rebound in his only game so far. Sibert averaged 13.1 points in 44 games during the 2015-16 season with the Erie Bayhawks of the D-League.

D'Angelo Russell (Los Angeles Lakers)

Russell looks to add to a promising rookie season with a strong performance in the Las Vegas Summer League, which takes place from July 8-16. Despite the Nick Young Snapchat scandal, Russell was solid for the Lakers, averaging 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 80 games last season.

Shannon Scott (Phoenix Suns)

Scott is also playing in the Las Vegas Summer League and is looking to make a strong impression for a Suns team in a phase of transition. Scott last played for the D-League Raptors 905, based out of Mississauga, Ontario, averaging 9.2 points and 5.7 assists in 48 games in 2015-16.
