Brooks Austin does a bunch of film analysis on Youtube, deep breakdowns of latest news, transfers etc but also appears on the Finebaum show on occasional. He did a video breaking down film from the OSU spring game. I always learn so much from his videos and wanted to share with you guys. I'll sparknotes some of his takeaways but let you guys watch to uncover the rest of them. Note that Brooks is from Georgia and a huge UGA fan, well connected to many of the HS programs down there but remains unbiased.
- Likes both QBs a lot. Says Julian lacks some horsepower downfield but 25 and in is the best in the game. TSC is the opposite, has a howitzer but the accuracy/placement is spotty at times. Still both are tremendous talents
- Brooks was raving about the DL which was great to hear. Said Kenyatta has no business playing college football anymore lol, shouted out Beau Atkinson, Zion Grady, John Walker as dudes. Also said Eddrick Houston is gonna have a good year (played HS ball down in GA)
- When Dominick Kelly transferred here I never heard of him, however seeing UGA fans being upset about losing him speaks volumes. Brooks is among that crowd: "I told Jonathan (producer) we gon get a good tear in our eye watching Dominick Kelly. We have been on the train for 3 years saying that he will be a superstar." Think Kelly might be that #2 CB across Sanchez while we put Jermaine in the slot
- Wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Our top OTs didn't play (?), but he called out #74 who's Carter Lowe multiple times for getting put on his back. Fortunately Lowe is in his 2nd year and probably won't be playing much this year.
