With Jeremiah Smith set to play his final year I was thinking about the term Generational Talent. It’s a widely used term with no set definition. If I were to define it the literal term for a generation is about 20-30 years. So using that as the marker for college only who do you define as a generational type player for the Buckeyes. The one challenge I see is Ohio State has the luxury of recruiting at a high level. I personally believe if we tend to argue who was the best at that position for a generation and everyone’s answer is not the same then it hard to argue they were a generational talent. Understood injuries come into play. So with that definition I have hard time in my Ohio State viewing lifetime to say outside of Orlando Pace and Ted Ginn (for Special Teams) there hasn’t been another generational type player. Maybe if Jeremiah has another crazy year we can make that argument
