While most would assume that Kirby Smart should grab the crown as the king of college football now that Saban has retired, can Day steal the crown? Day really seems to be growing into his role as the ceo of the program. He is doing a good job building his staff and seems willing to delegate. He is very craftily using all the tools at his disposal to both build a championship roster and retain the key pieces. It is aol about roster building in winning national championships. I obviously know that he needs to win to be at the very top of the college coaching ranks, but it seems that he is showing the growth and willingness to learn fron his mistakes this offseason to take that next step. He has the potential develop the a recruiting aura similar to Saban or Smart as his players really love playing for him. Besides maybe Kirby Smart's program, is there really any other program that is on the same level as Day's program, (Lets leave Alabama out of the conversation at the moment until they work through their huge transition.) What do others think about potential moving forward? With Sayin and Downs coming onboard, it seems like we may be the preferred destination for the best players, especially with Georgia seemingly having the inside track on Downs.
