4. Ohio State gave UM's stacked and experienced roster the biggest challenge they had all season and the game was in their house.

Given that these facts are true and that UM defeated Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer on the way to the championship one could say Day is not in bad company and is deserving of getting a little slack form the fan base.
