The Buckeyes consistent presence at or near the top of the sport is unparalleled. It’s hard to appreciate immaculate consistency when you’ve become so accustomed to it that you take it for granted instead.
Just taking a moment here to put some perspective on how lucky we are to root for the Buckeyes! When ppl say - 99% of programs out there would kill to be in the position Ohio State is in - it’s true!
Just watch CFB Final after a big upset - when a mere mortal team takes down a Top 10 team it is a BIG deal. Most fanbases storm the field, some riot, others tear down the goalposts & throw them in the river to commemorate the momentous event.
For Buckeye fans - knocking off Top 10 opponents has become so routine - many fans are already planning their exit strategy in the 3rd qtr so they can beat the stadium traffic out of town.
Just so thankful to be a Buckeye & immensely appreciative of this current group of players & coaches, and all those who came before - creating the culture, setting the bar, establishing the standard is the standard. These are just words some places - but it is reality in Columbus, OH… these Buckeyes live it EVERY DAMN YEAR!
