One day after Ohio State earned a commitment from USC transfer Parker Lewis, sophomore walk-on kicker Garrison Smith has reportedly entered the transfer portal.

A native of Norwalk, Ohio, Smith joined the Buckeye roster in June 2021 but never attempted a kick in a game for Ohio State.

With Lewis coming aboard, Ohio State now has three scholarship kickers on its roster, including 2021 starter Noah Ruggles and redshirt sophomore Jake Seibert, who attempted kicks in three games for the Buckeyes in 2020.
