It's easy to say an improved defense, but I would argue a more important improvement is physicality in general, particularly along the offensive and defensive lines. Hopefully, Jim Harbaugh's comments about knowing that Michigan can run on us "since spring ball' and former offensive coordinator Josh Gattis' comment about Ohio State being a finesse team will strike a nerve.
We know the skill position guys will provide plenty of firepower, but can Ohio State rediscover being a bruising team in addition to having speed all over the field? The answer to that question could decide this team's ceiling.
