In theory offense and defense shouldn't really be related but I can't help but think of all those pass first big 12 teams and how they usually had soft defenses. Wondering if Ohio State turning into a pass first team is contributing to the team becoming soft overall. Maybe it just has to do with the overall mentality of the team or that the defense practices against a finesse offense.
