Always nice to see the state of OH-IO, but I need to see it live before I decide if I love it.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

I was a meh vote but that is really what i meant.  I like the concept but I want to see the execution first.

I 'like' and don't 'love' it because of the very prominent VC logos. I understand why they're there, but it does tarnish the purity of college basketball in my eyes somewhat. Nonetheless, the OH silhouette is very nice.

I answered "love," but I would've preferred to see the VCA logos in the same darkened wood as the state outline & B1G logos.  Having said that, I can certainly live with it the way it is -- I think it's great.

I don't like the Value City logos or any implication the map may send that Ohio State is just for Ohio. Ohio State draws students and athletes, and impacts the world, far beyond the state borders shown on the court. Why limit ourselves or even risk the implication?

And yes, this is nit-picking. The word "Ohio" is right in the institution's name. So I'm being a little silly about the map. But hey, I've spent my entire life in Pennsylvania other than the few glorious years I was able to attend and graduate from the America's greatest land grant school.

Nitpicking aside, go Bucks. Just keep the Schott glorious, and our hoops program will be fine.

Good point, but it is the flagship institution for the state of Ohio. Publicly funded, etc.

I voted "meh" as I would prefer a Block O at center court instead of the dated athletic logo. I can also do without the Value City logos and twitter hashtag.

What? I think our logo is probably the best college logo out there IMHO.

Not a big fan of the "ohioState" athletic logo, much prefer the classic Block O. I think it looks too '90's, and belongs on a puffy Starter jacket.

You know, I grew up in Ohio so I don't mind all the "Great State of Ohio" and Ohio in hyping that OSU seems to be leaning towards. But I could see Altoona's point that it seems kind of alienating to us out-of-state fans. I don't mind it, like I said. But I could see how someone might. They might be an OSU fan but not an Ohio fan. And the two don't necessarially go hand-in-hand.

I know schools in Texas use the state as a symbol a lot. I know MSU has the State of Michigan on it's jerseys and basketball court sometimes. I don't really know of any other specific instances of using the state as your logo or image in your sports branding.

Personally, I like the state outline at midcourt. It reminds me of midcourt at St. John Arena.

Love the state outline with the different wood paneling, scarlet border with the buckeye leaves is awesome as well. I just wish the court in between the 3 line and the lane was filled with the same wood as the midcourt state logo
