Braxton Miller Prophesied LeBron James' Return to Cleveland

The wait is over. LeBron James is officially returning to Cleveland. And while there are many victors here — namely the City of Cleveland and Chris Sheridan — let us not forget, Braxton Miller foresaw this return earlier this morning:

Hmmm, indeed, Braxton, hmmm indeed.

And LeBron will always have a second home in just two and half hours down I-71:

Are you not familiar with the plight of Cleveland? Wiggins will be traded, Lebron will quit, Manziel will be busted on possession of coke (after it's reported to be heroin), the RNC will leave, and lake Erie will catch on fire.

Few things rival the excitement of knowing the team you love is among the legit contenders for a title and Cleveland just became that. Adding the best player in the world tends to have that effect. Congrats Cavs fans!

small FORWARD.... = Front court

+1 HS
IGotAWoody's picture

Umm, no. But thank you for playing! Most small forwards are such because they're hybrid players, they sort of straddle the two worlds. That is even more so the case with Lebron, who does a lot of ball handling when he's on the court.

Thus, referring to Lebron as a member of the backcourt is spot on.

 - License to kill gophers (wolverines, badgers, etc) by the government of the United Nations

Oakland Buckeye's picture

No - Thank YOU for playing - the backcourt by definition are the guards - frontcourt = forwards & center. Just because Lebron brings up the ball occasionally does not make him backcourt. He actually lead the NBA last year in points in the paint per minutes played last 2 seasons (shhh = frontcourt)

Even though I am not a fan, I pray and hope they don't trade Wiggins for Love. If they can get Love some other way, I'm all for it.

The possibility of a Wiggins and Lebron tandem is awesome. They could seriously be a Jordan/Pippen type duo. something Lebron and Wade should have been before Wade started to break down. Another difference is that Wiggins can shoot the ball from deep.

I wouldnt get used to wiggins - he's not even under contract according to Winhorst...

Love 3x Allstar & Olympian - top 10 player in the league - 6th in MVP 2012- EVERYDAY over wiggins - do we need to recall just last year & the bust that was #1 overall Anthony Bennett? Wiggins may be the next Pippen  (top 50 all itme player)- but more likely to be one of these last 15 overall #1's :the next Elton Brand, Olokwandi, Kame Brown, Andrew Bogut, Kenyon Martin, Bargnani, Bennett, or even Derrick Rose or Greg Oden (injuries).

cinserious's picture

Don't diss Kenyon!

MikeTheBuckeye's picture

Whether the Cavs choose to develop Wiggins or trade him for a proven talent like Love, it is luxury they didn't have last year that brings excitement to Cleveland. While I don't necessarily have a preference on which way the Cavs decide to go with this trade, I predict they stick it out with Wiggins. The reason being is cap space. Which allows them to keep Wiggins and chase another asset for the team because Wiggins isn't going to require the same amount of pay that Love will. However I will be just as happy to see the trade go through as I will to see the Cavs keep hold of their 4 number 1 draft picks.

+1 HS
Oakland Buckeye's picture

Agree Mike - the CAvs have so many assets I dont think they can lose here. You get a 25 yr old Love as a 26/13 guy on an extension for 2 or 3 years - you trade Wiggins. I just dont wanna see the rumored chips of Wiggins, Bennett, Waiters & 2 #1's for Love. That give us the best starting 5 in the league - but no bench & only one #1 pick next year (probably in the 20's). If they wait  - who knows what other talent they could add with those drafts choices & a maturing Wiggins.

That being siad - Lebron is 29 - & Miller, Jones & (Ray Allen?) are 35,36,39 - this team is being constructed to win now - not when Wiggins is 22 & Lebron is 33...

I know what you mean. I am a lifelong Browns & Indians but when I started following the NBA back in the early 80's I became a Celtics fan because of Larry the Legend. I can't jump onto the Cavs bandwagon, that would just be wrong. But for the city of Cleveland (and of course Cavs fans) I do hope LBJ can deliver that elusive title to the city of Cleveland since they have not won anything in 50 years.

Columbus is in the running to host the 2016 Democratic convention, which has a good chance of happening, as they may perceive it as neutralizing the RNC's Ohio advantage. Wouldn't that be something, both parties conventioning here in Ohio?!!!

 - License to kill gophers (wolverines, badgers, etc) by the government of the United Nations

Yes, I think having both conventions in Ohio would be pretty hype. Regardless of political affiliation, everyone can usually agree that revenue is a good thing...and the State, Cleveland, and Columbus, would get plenty in that scenario.

I second that; i'm all for improving this state the best we can and whatever we can attract to do it. It's probably one of the biggest reasons I have no problem with the majority of conventions and festivals that come hear regardless of my personal beliefs towards them and/ or their cause. Save for, I get kinda pissy navigating around some of that stuff when I have to go downtown or near the areas; i'll get over it.

Apparently Columbus may get the DNC. Both national political conventions in the same state during the same election cycle would prove that Ohio really is the center of the universe.

Also, this flew under the radar, Brandon Dubinsky signed a 6-year extension with the Blue Jackets today. There are going to be some fun times in NWA in the next few years.

Rumor is already that Waiters, Bennett, and a future 1st round draft pick is on the table for Love.

If it happens it's Miami 2010, but now in Cleveland - get LeBron, keep your current superstar, and bring in another top tier talent...fill in with role players and dominate the Eastern Division.

"Because we couldn't go for three"

And the rumor is that Minnesota will laugh at that offer and ask for Wiggins, Bennett and a 1 if not 2. I love the trade you put up, but I'm not as wild about the one I said. Wiggins and Lebron on D is scary.

I can't help but see the silver lining here for Buckeyes recruiting. James is a huge fan of OSU and likes to come to games when he can. CAVS: SIGN GREG ODEN AND MAKE MY YEAR.

brandonbauer87's picture

Decision Part II combined with the classy way it was handled has me leaning towards the Lebron camp. I think this move really signifies Lebron turning a corner in his career, as well as his life.

My favorite team has been a toss-up since Jordan retired, but I feel the urge to embrace my roots and get on the bandwagon. I'm not ready for a Lebron jersey just yet, but I see a Cavs t-shirt in my future.

Right after LeBron's first decision I told my friends I would watch the kid from Akron no matter what team he played for.  I got a lot of flak about that, especially from my buddies in NE Ohio, they said the only thing keeping our friendship going was because I'm a rabid buckeye fan lol.  So, I don't have the hypocrisy issue they have now that he has "come home".  Of course sports fans are not known for being rational, myself included at times, so it's all good.

My buddy is a hardcore Cavs fan and was really broken up when LBJ left. He stayed following the Cavs just like before taped all their games, had no hate for LBJ. He's ecstatic that LBJ came back.

I have zero hate for LBJ, he did what he had too, but I think it's good for Cleveland and NE Ohio that he's back.

Oddly enough, one of our other friends stopped watching the Cavs and started following Miami because Z went there. His words, "I go where Z goes." Z retired and took a job with the Cavs' front office, my buddy started following the Cavs again. Good to see that Z had some fans too.
