Kelsey Mitchell Becomes the Third Consensus All-American in OSU Women's Basketball History

Kelsey Mitchell is cleaning up this awards season.

In the week that followed her Associated Press All-American honor, the sophomore star was named to the Wooden Award, ESPNW, USBWA and WBCA All-America teams becoming Ohio State's third consensus All-American in program history joining Jessica Davenport (2005) and Jantel Lavender (2010, 2011).

Mitchell was also a unanimous All-Big Ten selection and was named to her second straight Big Ten All-Tournament team.

The Cincinnati native led the team with 26.3 points per game this season, breaking her own school record of 24.9 ppg which she set last season. She topped Lavender's previous single game scoring record of 42 four times throughout the season.

Mitchell is also one of five finalist for the 2016 Wooden Award, which is given annually to the nation's top player. The winner will be announced as part of ESPN's College Basketball Awards Show on ESPN2, Friday, April 8 at 8 p.m.
