2014: Jim Tressel Quotes Tupac Shakur on Twitter

The streets have long been clamoring for Jim Tressel to drop a gangsta rap album titled "#QuietTime." Today, we're a massive step closer.

"Jim Tressel quoted Tupac Shakur on Twitter," is now one of my favorite sentences in the English language. How long do you think it would take to explain this to somebody like Benjamin Franklin? I'm guessing at least 10 minutes.

As long as he doesn't say Biggie Smalls 3 times into the bathroom mirror, then we're good.

Just when I thought I couldn't love Jim Tressel anymore than I already did. I'm actually seriously considering a Twitter account just to follow him.

~ To the tune of "How Do You Want It" ~

"Loves the way linemen use their hips and knock the QB's ass down,

got Coach wantin Troy Smith just air it out,

wanna Run Dave and I can't even lie about it,

maybe just toss it off to teddy, take it to the house.

Catch you in the shoe, playin on the weekend

your team is talkin shit to me,

'cause you can't comprehend this beating,

Now if you wanna roll with me,

recruits here's your chance

always goin ham all I do is get gold pants,

Forgive me I'm a winner, and I'm just a Christian man

I just want some wins and what's best for the program man

Mr multi-national, playa with a playbook

just like I did last year,

about to the win whole shit

My name is Jimmy T,  come down to the shoe and see, watch Beanie be a beast as we floss on the wolverines

Witness as we creep while the clock bleeds, peep from the cheap seats, ring the bell for another Buckeye victory

Approaching Coaching with a passion, been a long day, but I've been drawing up play-action to use Saturday,

Our defense is bangin, baby, I love the way we run it time to give it to Jimmy playa now tell me how you want it.....

(posted this in another thread too)

I know there's a game Saturday, and my ass will be there.

If you ever have the time to read his book. you will see that he quotes a wide range of people from his former players to L.L Cool J.  He seems to be a very open-minded man and is humble in his attempt to seek wisdom.  His book has influenced me a lot.

I forgive Tress for quoting a mainstream rapper. I guess he really couldn't use a quote from a much better underground rapper because it would garner no recognition.

I still find it funny that Mr. 'Thug Life's' biggest audience/ support was the suburban and rural kids that were the complete opposite.

And then I told her...i'm no weatherman, but tonight's forecast is calling for several inches!

Probably the funniest sentences I've read on this site.  That actually is a good question though...so many layers to that would have to be explained to Mr. Franklin haha.

Not sure about that. I read Ben's autobiography, and he was a very hip polymath. And he played the violin, harp, guitar and harmonica, and he composed music in the then current style. If Franklin was around today to do rap or hip-hop, it might well be better than it is now.

Our honor defend, we will fight to the end !

Quiet time.....shhhhhhhhhhhh...word

Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.

Reminds me of xXx 2 with ice cube... Bad movie but vaguely amusing to make the president quote tupac at the end.

I envy those Akron kids gon be up in peeps grills... 'Yo, my prez is mo gangsta than youz!'  And so forth
