Four-star cornerback Jaden Carey commits to Ohio State, becoming OSU‘s second CB commitment this week.
Before Curtis Samuel forged it, Erasmus Hall in Brooklyn, New York wasn't known for producing Buckeye football players.
Samuel, then a four-star athlete, changed that in 2014 when he pledged to Urban Meyer's third recruiting class in Ohio.
The Brooklynite chose OSU because he wanted a chance do to everything on offense. And in his three years here, he's done everything from taking snaps to emerging as the focal point of the 2016 offense.
The junior H-Back talked about his decision in a video released by Ohio State football Wednesday night.
"Freshman year, coming in early—I didn't really know much," Samuel said. I didn't say anything. I just followed the older guys, because I knew there was a bunch of great talent here, so why not learn from those guys? I always wanted to get better each week because I knew my time was coming soon, and now I have a great opportunity here."
Samuel cited Meyer's "great accomplishments" and his all-purpose role for the H-Back as key reasons he landed in Columbus.
He has 1,387 total yards of offense and 13 touchdowns on the year.
