Chase Farris didn't receive an invitation to the NFL Combine or hear his name called during the NFL Draft, but he will still get a chance to live out his professional football dream.

The Ohio State offensive lineman is headed to the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent, a school spokesman confirmed. The news was first reported by Ryan Ginn of Buckeye Sports Bulletin.

Farris is set to join fellow Buckeye Taylor Decker in the Motor City. The Lions chose Decker with the 16th overall pick in the draft Thursday.

Farris served as Ohio State's right tackle in 2015, his lone season as a starter. Scouts evaluated him as a guard upon his exit from the program. He played there in spot duty earlier in his career in Columbus.
