If we are 13-0 heading into the CFP, then he will very likely be the 8th OSU Heisman or at the very least a top 3 finalist.

He deserves it. Hopefully the votes get it right. I think him missing 3 games and that stats he out up last year is more worth than the winner who played every game and lost a few. He should have won it already in 2012. But that's just my opinion.

+3 HS
seafus26's picture

And Boeckman having nothing but a little DB that would have met him at or around the goal line when he was flushed on 3rd down of our second drive and he slid at the freaking 1  yardline to AVOID contact in the last and biggest game of the year. Going up 14-0 could have big, instead of settling on a chip shot FG.

Go Bucks and michigan STILL SUCKS!

That was just awful.  We had all the momentum and it basically ended the game. Why Spitler, why?

brbrbuckeye's picture

I can't believe the coach that said Braxton Miller isn't scary as a passer. He actually torched Clemson with his arm until they purposefully hurt his shoulder (cheaters). I hope he gets Heisman and our 8th National championship (15th if you count the ones they took from us) so we can laugh in the face of all our critics.

I just hope Chris Ash holds up his end of the bargain because I know Warriner will hold up his.

GO BUCKS!!! URBAN RENEWAL!

Woody16111's picture

With the media love fest for Jameis Winston and everything F$U it's going to be all the more difficult for Braxton to win the hardware.

The media has been dying to get a two time Heisman winner since Tim Tebow. IMHO, no Frosh should even be considered for a Heisman, but that is another issue altogether. This isn't an anti Ohio State thing, it gives the sports media pencil pushers something to write/talk about and that is the name of their game.

Braxton has the talent, the cast and the story line to be the big winner in NYC this December. His legs got him this far but his arm will win him the trophy.

The Rill Dill's picture

If they award a punk like Winston, with a second Heisman-----the award officially becomes a JOKE.

-1 HS
JohnnyKozmo's picture

No way will Winston win again.  We've seen Heisman winners too many times recently return to school and not win.  He won't be judged on this season alone, he will be judged on how it compares to last season.  He was the next big thing last year, so there is always excitement with that (See-Johnny Football, Cam, Tebow, etc.)

allinosu's picture

I'm all in on him but first he can't miss any games or not run like in the past because there are too many throwing QB that are going to have more passing yards just by the way their offense operates. He needs close to a thousand yards or some big plays in big games He can do it.

Great video! I'm all for Braxton this year. Here's to a healthy season and a Heisman campaign.

Now, is anyone else afraid the OSU haters will keep him from getting it?

"It's all ball bearings these days guys"

buckeyepastor's picture

Miller is special.  I think his biggest problem in contending for the hardware is the potential for injury and missing games.  Not playing all the games would work against him.  I know a lot of people will be excited about Winston, but if Miller has a big game vs. MSU and OSU runs the table, I think Braxton becomes the front-runner.   I do think that completing around 70% of his balls is also going to be important.  Partly because the run game will not be able to carry us as much as it has the last two seasons, and partly because I think it's been around that percentage for the last several Heisman winners.

"Woody would have wanted it that way"

My little brother was in Children's Hospital deathly I'll with a crazy virus from a mosquito bite. We were so scared we would lose him. I remember I didn't have much money so the great people at the Ronald McDonald House let my big brother and I stay there for free. Anyways we were in the basement of RMH watching that game with a small group of strangers. When that play happened I swear it was electric in that room. It was one of the brighter experiences my family had that month. When I informed my dad about the outcome of the game is when I also found out my little brother was gonna survive and would not suffer any lasting effects from the virus. Definitely a great game and a great night. I'll never forget it. Braxton will ALWAYS be my favorite OSU qb for that reason.

I think Ncaa officially took Bush's due to his parents free crib. I think there is actually no winner for that year as Vince young, stated he didn't want under those terms. Then he threw the dagger, " I won the trophy that matters anyway when we matched up."

You know, I hope this bullshit about no bowl win ends this season. The guy played 3 years:  year 1 no coaching (Bollman, Siciliano), year 2 ineligible, year 3 no defense. It probably taints what really should be seen as one of the best careers in Ohio State football history. Show us you saved your best for last, Braxton. You have left it all on the field and have done it with dignity and class. Thank you.
