If there's anything that has eluded Urban Meyer in his five seasons at Ohio State, it's been a game-changing defensive tackle. You can now add Marvin Wilson to the list, too, as the five-star from Bellaire, Texas, Episcopal committed to Florida State on Wednesday afternoon.

The move comes as a surprise, as LSU was considered the heavy favorite coming into signing day.

The 6-foot-4, 329-pound Wilson is considered the top-rated defensive tackle and No. 6 prospect overall in the Class of 2017. He picked Seminoles over finalists LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma and South Florida.

The Buckeyes — hoping to add an unprecedented four of the top six recruits from the state of Texas — made things interesting with Wilson's good friends Baron Browning and Jeffrey Okudah in the fold. But his relationship with Seminoles tight end coach and recruiting coordinator swung things in their favor.

Though Ohio State missed out on both Wilson and Jay Tufele on National Signing Day, the Buckeyes still hold commitments from four-star defensive tackles Haskell Garrett and Jerron Cage.
