The Hurry Up is your nightcap of Ohio State recruiting news, catching you up on the day’s events with an ear on the ground for what’s next.

BOSA RECOVERY UNDERWAY, WILL NOT VISIT THIS WEEKEND

It's been almost two weeks since Ohio State 2016 five-star commitment Nick Bosa had surgery to repair a slight tear in his right knee's ACL, and his recovery and rehab are going as well as can be expected. He headed home to Fort Lauderdale Monday after staying in Pensacola, where he had his procedure, to more easily facilitate post-operative rehab.

"He had a follow up with Dr. Andrews," John Bosa, Nick's father told Eleven Warriors. "He flew back (today). He is doing very well in rehab and the surgery went as well as it could."

The day after the surgery, the elder Bosa posted a picture to social media of his 6-foot-4, 270-pound son using a resistance band to stretch and test his repaired leg, showcasing both his good spirits and his commitment to his recovery.

"On the third day, he was doing squats," Bosa said. "He has a great surgeon and great physical therapists."

Nick had planned to be in Columbus this weekend for Ohio State's big contest against Michigan State but he will not make the trip as he focuses on his rehabilitation.

MATTHEW JONES HOPING FOR OHIO STATE OFFER

We've discussed a few 2018 prospects in Ohio over the last number of weeks but, as you'd expect, the Buckeyes are on the prowl nationally as well. Brooklyn's Matthew Jones, a sophomore at Erasmus Hall who visited Ohio State for Friday Night Lights in July, is developing his relationship with the Buckeyes.

"My relationship with Ohio State is good," Jones told 11W. "Curtis (Samuel) being there helps a lot, being someone who came from the same school as me. He's doing his thing there and it's motivating for me. I've had a chance to communicate with their coaches for a while."

Jones could play on either side of the ball in college–he's already 6-foot-4 and 290-pounds–and most of his recent offers, including Penn State and Georgia, are telling him there's still time to figure that out.

"Doctors are telling me that I should get to 6-foot-6 by the end of my junior year," Jones said. "Coaches tell me that it will be a hard choice to pick offense or defense because I play both sides of the ball great."

The country's top-ranked 2018 defensive tackle said he's hoping the Buckeyes offer him soon.

"I'm still trying to get Ohio State to offer me," Jones added. "I have to work a little bit my on my technique."

MORRIS HOPING TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE

Akron Archbishop Hoban 2016 athlete Jonah Morris, who re-opened his recruitment a week ago, continues to search for the best situation for him. His decision to decommit from Michigan State was one he didn't take lightly, but he feels was in his best interest.

"I need to see what's really best for me," Morris told 11W. "I kind of felt like I rushed things before I had seen what was really out there."

Now with only a few months before signing day, Morris is trying to squeeze in some visits to schools that he's not really had relationships with before.

"I'm trying to visit Notre Dame soon, Kentucky, Indiana, and I don't know where else yet," the 6-foot-4, 196-pound tight end/linebacker for the Knights said. "I haven't been really in touch with any of the schools I use to be in contact with."

One of those schools he used to be in contact with was Ohio State. The three-star prospect says he's not talked to the Buckeyes much lately.

"I've talked to them a little bit," he said. "But not much."

Ohio State is continuing to search for another 2016 linebacker and Morris is one of the names that has been discussed in recent weeks, but it appears that–at least right now–there's not much to that.
