Ohio State wasted no time with visiting Grambling on Tuesday night, routing the Tigers 82-55 at the Schottenstein Center.

The Buckeyes shot a blistering 59 percent from the field and were 9 for 25 from 3-point range while holding the Tigers to just 35 percent shooting. Ohio State used a 14-0 first-half run to build a 24-point halftime advantage.

Leading the way for the Buckeyes was sophomore guard Kam Williams, who scored a game-high 22 points including a trio of 3-pointers. Keita Bates-Diop and Marc Loving also both reached double-figures for Ohio State scoring 14 points apiece.

The Buckeyes did struggle at the free-throw line, shooting just 13 for 26 as a team, and committed 17 turnovers.

Ohio State put all three in double figures in the first half as they led 44-20 at the break. Bates-Diop led all scorers in the first 20 minutes with 12 points while Loving and Williams each had 10.

Ohio State hit 5 of its first 7 3-point attempts, but finished the first half just 5 for 14 from behind the arc. The Buckeyes shot 53.6 percent from the field and forced 13 Grambling turnovers, but committed eight first-half turnovers of their own.

Ohio State will next be in action Friday as it hosts Texas-Arlington at 7 p.m.
