How much pressure do you think Sparty is feeling right now. Haven't won in Columbus in so many years; Dantonio's never beat the Bucks; and now a press freeze - their little green and white sphincters have got to be cinched as tight as possible....Can only help out the good guys. Go Bucks!!
What's a media blackout and why are they doing it?
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
The players arent allowed to speak to the media. Dantonio thinks it will keep the players from putting thier feet in thier mouth's and adding pressure to themselves.
Essentailly, it will just keep them from saying things they shouldn't be.
And while realizing they shouldn't be and focusing on not putting pressure on themselves, they'll really end up doing what?
I think it's more about he doesn't want them to give the Bucks any locker room bullentin board material. I think Mark D has some experience with this from a few years ago.

Maybe he doesn't want anyone asking his players if Saturday is their coach's audition for the OSU HC job :)

I don't know if my avi gives it away or not, but I have a lot of respect for Mark. I would take him in a second. No offense to Luke (pun not intended!) because I'm a loyal Buckeye fan and I'll salute my general in battle and hope that he leads the troops to victory. But I think Luke has some learning to do, and I'd rather Luke learn with a MAC team than with the Bucks.
