Going to be a rough couple games. hail2victors9 5 Feb 2013, 7:39 am I really like the sound of "B." Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS! ~Bo Schembechler BuckeyeFreak4844 5 Feb 2013, 7:41 am LOL i bet you do thats a huge week for you. Michigan Sucks! BuckeyeFreak4844 5 Feb 2013, 7:40 am I think a split would even be huge but in the grand scheme of things just get hot in march i still think the tournament is wide open, No last year Kentucky type teams in this years tournament. Michigan Sucks! sb97 5 Feb 2013, 7:44 am Going to be tough to find a win this week. Buckeyevstheworld 5 Feb 2013, 8:33 am O ye, of little faith. I'm going with option "beats both". "YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it. mr.green 5 Feb 2013, 8:11 am Of course we win both. UM is deflated after Saturday night and IU is No. 1 coming to our house. Perfect set up for a sweep. hail2victors9 5 Feb 2013, 8:20 am The question is whether GRIII is deflated and will bounce back after his no-show on Saturday or disappear. I expect the former. I highly doubt that the players will have any trouble getting hyped up for this revenge/rivalry game despite losing a game in hostile territory that they were 6 point dogs. Nothing like dancing on the field in 02... tennbuckeye19 5 Feb 2013, 11:35 am While I appreciate your optimism, and I share it; this is probably the most talented Michigan team Matta has faced since he's been at OSU. Matta racked up a lot of those wins against sub-par Wolverine teams. Tonight (and Sunday against IU) will be a tough test. toad1204 5 Feb 2013, 2:18 pm Good point however I thought the last two games have been a bit of a turning point in the season. Williams is playing with a chip on his shoulder (hope Ravenel finds the one he had earlier in the season) Craft Smith and Thompson have increased their scoring to cover the "2nd scoring option" which we've heard so much about. Maybe I'm drinking too much of the Kool-Aid, but a couple W's are a possibility as long as we dont go through a shooting slump without playing good D. A close game tonight does make that Sunday game that much tougher. Nothing like dancing on the field in 02... BucksfanXC 5 Feb 2013, 8:14 am I like our chances against Indiana better, just because it's at home. Kenpom shows that teams that win by 2-3 at home lose the return trip by 10+. “Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Indiana looks better because it's at home ... but sweeping Michigan, at Michigan, to go 3-0 (Football included) would make this a great year. JT Poison nuts 5 Feb 2013, 11:05 am B. "Do not pass me, just slow down - I can move right through you" Superchunk - Precision Auto. Chris Lauderback Staff 5 Feb 2013, 11:56 am I think the most likely scenario is that OSU loses both, showing that they are a clear notch below Indiana, but that there isn't much separation between Ohio State and Michigan. At the same time, while less likely, I can see them winning one of the games but I don't see a scenario where they pull off two wins this week. Beating Michigan on the road and Indiana at home would be a longshot for ANY team in college basketball right now. BME_Buckeye 5 Feb 2013, 12:35 pm If OSU loses both, which I picked, I won't be mad. Indiana winning in Columbus will just give them the inside to the B1G title and not Michigan! The bigger question is, will Michigan lose to Wisconsin and give Indiana a 2 game lead in the B1G. Look closely, because the closer you think you are, the less you will actually see. hail2victors9 5 Feb 2013, 1:31 pm Indiana still has to visit Illinois, OSU, MSU, Minnesota, and Michigan and has OSU at home. Michigan has to travel to Wisconsin, MSU, Purdue, and Penn State and has OSU, MSU, Illinois and Indiana at home. Not really the inside track since Michigan still hosts IU. Plus, Michigan's schedule from here on out is more favorable than IUs. Still very tough, but not as bad. Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS! ~Bo Schembechler BME_Buckeye 5 Feb 2013, 3:11 pm Why all the strike throughs Hail? I agree Michigan is in a more favorable position. However if the top 5 teams win on their home court and beat the bottom 7 teams everyone will be tied minus OSU and Wisconsin. I don't really see that happening and I think IU will win it. Call me crazy but I think Michigan season will come down to wither or not they can beat Wisconsin because I can see them finishing 14-4 in the conference while IU goes 15-3. I would not overlook Wisconsin if I were you because their tempo and style is a huge contrast vs. what Michigan normally runs. Not to mention Bo Ryan .900+ winning percentage at home. Look closely, because the closer you think you are, the less you will actually see. bukyze 5 Feb 2013, 1:52 pm I picked us losing both. Do not see us winning tonight on the road whatsoever. As for IU, it's a possibility due to being at home, but highly doubtful. I think Zeller has a monster game. The key is going to be playing lights out defense on Oladipo, and limiting their 3's. I agree that a split of the 2 games would be huge. sirclovis 5 Feb 2013, 2:46 pm I know it doesn't really matter but if OSU wins both, would they be ranked number 1 next Monday? BucksfanXC 5 Feb 2013, 3:00 pm Probably not gonna jump 9 spots, even if you beat #3 and #1 back to back. I'm already confused as to why Florida hasn't been #1 recently. “Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect.” - Woody tennbuckeye19 5 Feb 2013, 3:09 pm I don't know for certain why Florida hasn't jumped up higher, but the SEC is a horrible conference that might get 3 teams in the NCAA tourney this year. That could have something to do with it. Florida though is REALLY good. BucksfanXC 5 Feb 2013, 4:01 pm I'd bet money Florida earns the coveted but cursed #1 #1 seed. “Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect.” - Woody BucksfanXC 5 Feb 2013, 9:59 pm And I jinxed them. Still could be a #1 seed but just fell to Arkansas “Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Come on Buckeyes prove me right/wrong. :D CJDPHoS Member The Official DDS of 11W steensn 5 Feb 2013, 6:59 pm I'll take a split but well lose both.
