That was a hard decision. So hard I forgot who I voted for..

I'm surprised Crean isn't getting more love, errrr, hate.
Bo Ryan will never live down that "Deal with it!" line. Plus he's got all the negative association with the school that until recently employed the most hated B1G FootBall Coach - Bret B.
Let me be clear: I can't stand Bo Ryan.
However, if you take away the one comment - "Deal with it" - this is not a close contest. Crean orbits on a plane of douchiness that is high above most mortal d-bags.
Unlike my reaction to Crean, I can actually look at Bo Ryan without wanting to punch a hole through the television.

However, it comes down to which irritates you more: an evil drill sergeant (Bo Ryan) or a whiny little b---- with a stupid haircut (Tom Crean)? I can at least respect the diabolical Bo Ryan.

Essentially, I view Crean as a nuisance. Bo is an adversary. I respect him, but HOO BOY do I dislike him.

I looked directly at Crean's face once and it almost blinded me (with rage). Ever since, I've had to use one of these doohickeys to look at Crean:
i just feel like crean is over rated. at least bo ryan has some success. indiana was preseason #1 and honestly doesnt feel like a top 2 team in their own conference. stupid polsters refusing to tell themselves they are wrong. clearly a top 15 team, but havnt seen anything that would tell me they are a top 10 team

That was a tough choice...why couldn't there be an additional item to vote on that said "I'd stick both of them on a deserted island with a plethora of hungry lions and tigers"?

A few years ago, Bo Ryan hands down. Now, after the blow by hand shakes that exude poor sportsmanship and being a sore loser, it is Tom Crean. Deal with the losses, Tom.
Something tells me this is biased by tonight's contest. A heavy dose of Super Bowl shots showing his *erhem* ..."beautiful" wife cheering on her brothers from the stands this Sunday might make me garner some sympathy for Crean, but I doubt it.

Tom Crean might have the most punchable face of all time. I have no love whatsoever for Bo Ryan (and a Google image search for Bo Ryan yields some fantastic results), but there's something so utterly detestable about Crean that it just overshadows Ryan for me.

Do you think other fan bases hate Thad Matta? If so, on what basis? He doesn't seem like he says or does anything that would rile up other fans.

I sat in the Breslin Center last weekend watching Izzo call the refs over and whine to them several times. Then I saw it get results for him and it made me wish Matta would do it more. But then I realized it was not the act, but the actor. You can't hate Izzo, you just can't.
My B1G MBB coach hate order list:
1) Crean
2) Ryan
3) for some reason Fran McCaffery
4) everyone else I couldn't care too much about, but PSU's new guy might climb this list if he ever actually beats anybody

this wasn't really a tough choice for me. It's Bo Ryan. I just had a huge problem with him doing nothing to address the alleged spitting and other misconduct of the student section toward Jared Sullinger.
I am hoping someone could enlighten me as to why Crean is a choice here. I have always been a fan because I had family attend Marquette when he was coaching, and I even went to his camp there while in middle school. A classmate of mine even played for him at Indy. I respect him as a coach and he has done a great job recruiting. Aside from looking just like Dwight K. Schrute, what is the basis for hating on Crean? I'm sure there is something I am missing.

I voted for Bo Ryan and after watching this immediately regretted my decision.
Toughest question I've seen in awhile. It's like asking which is more punchable: Bo Ryan's joker mouth, or Tom Crean's hair. I'll go with Crean for now on the dislike factor, just because he is more of a threat for the time being.

This is very tough for the simple fact they both are very hateable and both do certain things that are very annoying and come across as very whiny people who go ballistic when they don't get calls to go their way. Bo Ryan teaches his players to flop with little to no contact and then runs a style of basketball that should be outlawed because it's how they played back in the 40's, but the flopping is what erks me. He also is constantly in an officials ear when something doesn't get called that he feels should he rips them and more than often gets the call the next time down the floor or a makeup call happens. Crean very much the same way when it comes to being in officials ears and he is a very sore loser as well this year at home Indiana fouls just about every time on the defensive end knowing that no official is going to call it in their place bc for some reason your not allowed to officiate fairly in that arena. Idk I hate them both very much I can't pick one over the other. Banish them both and that is fine with me!!!

i hate crean so much more than ryan. ryan gets some kudos for coaching the USA college team a few years back, and you have to respect a coach that can get lesser talent to overperform. also, i feel like bo is more rage on the bench while crean just comes across as whiny.
plus, bo will always remind me of willem dafoe in boondock saints

Should of been a 3rd choice for both A and B... I dislike them equally but for two different reasons.
A . Ryan is class A dickhead. if he and I were in HS together he would have been put back into his place. Wherever he graduated from allowed for his dickheaedness to thrive.
B. crean is a grade A putz! He probably did get punked frequently in HS and thus the reason for his sissified ways....

I already commented and yet still have always hated Izzo as well bc he gets so many calls from teddy "tv" valentine and eddy "idiot" hightower and mike "blind as a bat" kitts, all bc his name is tom izzo and he has a proven record of being a good coach.
as a bball coach it is hard to hate any of izzo, ryan, or crean.... ryan gets his players to overperform yr after yr.... izzo is just a stud and yes he complains to refs but it really helps... and crean is one of the best recruiters in the nation and i look for the hoosiers to be a solid program again

I know I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely hate Tom Crean. I think he's dirty, he cheats his own players (maybe not the system, per se), and I hate his attitude.
To add to my minority, I actually like Bo Ryan. I think he's a class act who says stupid stuff at times, does things for the right way (mostly), and has a tough ball club in a football school without the resources the state of Ohio has.
How can you not respect a man who gets the most out of an inferior team year after year. Yep he is intense, but he has to be to instill that tenacious value of his team ( Bo is a great coach ) Tom C is a snake IMHO. He is a bigger D_ _ _ by far than Bo.
