I have a feeling they are going to let Braxton loose in this game. It'll be the only way the offense will be able to move the ball on MSU. They won't be effective if they have a leash on him again like they have the last 2 games. He may need 20+ carries for the team to score enough to win.
Agree on them letting Braxton loose, though I think they'll handle MSU's offense enough to limit the big play. My money says that MSU tries the short passing game in the first half, and digs themselves in a hole due to Maxwell's inconsistency and OSU's defense expecting the short pass and actually handling it (to some extent). In the second half, MSU goes back to Bell, and gets a couple scores, but OSU's offense--with Braxton at the helm--doesn't disappoint: OSU 31 MSU 17.
Agreed. With Msu's d line, he'll have one maybe two reads before he has to tuck and run.
Fundamentals are a crutch for the talentless.
I just hope MSU over pursues Braxton and he makes them pay. Unlike last year where he was running for his life...literally. Or Joe Joe the clown getting sacked by a flying MSU defender over Jordan Hall;-)

11-20 definitely. i find it funny that we're still painfully optimistic after the offensive showings against poor defenses the first few weeks. braxton will be able to create to a certain degree, and we could definitely be in for a 3-4 field goal game on our part, with a touchdown or possibly two. msu's front 7 is solid, and the best we'll ahve to deal with all year
I don't think it's "painfully optimistic" to think that we get out of the 11-20 range. MSU has a very good defense, but it's Urban's first B1G game and I don't think he's opened up his offense to show anything yet.
I voted the 11-20 pessimistic choice, but truthfully I AM hopeful that your assessment of UFM not fully letting the offense off the leash yet turns out to be the case.

I picked 21-30 just because I think that's what it will take to win. If our defense steps up we can get by with 11-20, but that is tough to count on.
This game screams 17-14 to me
ND scored 21 points against MSU somehow. I think that means we can score more than that... HOPEFULLY.

Loaded but mediocre is horrible place to be.
There isn't a single thing mediocre about that defense. Sparty isn't a great team as a whole but Ohio State's offense needs to bring their A plus plus plus game Saturday because Sparty's D is legit. 11th in PPG Allowed and 6th in yardage.

Huh? I don't care what Notre Dame put on them, Nevada smoked Cal, how did that work in our favor? Gholston, Rush, Bullough, Dennard and Adams will all be playing in the NFL one day. How many OSU defenders can you confidently say that about?

I have a good feeling about this game. I think we have been playing to the level of our opponent a lot and can get it clicking on offense. The Oline has been playing pretty well and will have to have a great game against a talented D line. I predict the offense finally putting together 4 angry, solid quarters with an open playbook and unleashed Braxon Miller. Meanwhile the D doing enough to keep us ahead. Shocking barn-burner: 42-34

I can see one of two things happening...my prediction 28-17
1. OSU does what it should have in the last three games and wins all three phases of the game to win 28 (or more) to 10 or no more than 17 points for sparty.
2. OSU looks flawed in two out of three phases and wins close or loses a close one like last year.
