So I was thinking about Terrance Brooks and the fact that it seems like we have to sweat it out for a premium recruit every year. It also seems like when we’re sweating it out, it’s usually for good reason, a la Clark Phillips, Jordan Battle, etc. Yet, while we fight off the fear of losing our commits every year, I can’t for the life of me remember the last time we flipped a high profile recruit from another team on, or during the few days leading up to, National signing day. I feel like as one of the bluest of blue bloods, we would have our share of last minute flips, but has it ever happened? I know we’ve landed big recruits on National signing day, but to my knowledge they’ve always been uncommitted. So here’s my question, when is the last time we had a major flip on or right before National signing day and why doesn’t it seem to happen more often?
