Most people already know of Jaelen Gill, Jackson Carman and L'Christian Smith, who are all highly touted players from Ohio in the 2018 class, but there's a number of other talented players around the country that could possibly end up in the 2018 class as well, who most don't know of yet.
Joseph Scates- 6'3 175 pound WR from Dayton, Ohio. Scates has the potential to be the top WR in Ohio in the 2018 class. He participated in the Best of the Midwest camp this past February and was named as one of the top performers on the day.
There wasn’t a receiver who was more fluid and more explosive in drills than the 2018 prospect who has the look of a future big-timer. When it was time for 1-on-1s Scates played with a physicality at the line of scrimmage and he uses his long body well.

Nik Bonitto- 6'4 200 pound DE/OLB from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Bonitto plays for St. Thomas Aquinas and recently named Ohio State as one of his top schools along with Miami. He also called Florida his dream school and mentioned that Meyer is a great coach from what he did at Florida and is now doing at Ohio State. He stated that he would love to have the chance to play with his mentor Nick Bosa again. 247sports has him as an early top 50 player, he finished this past season with 43 tackles, 14.5 TFL and 6 sacks.

Phil Jurkovec- 6'5 190 pound DT-QB from Gibsonia, PA. Jurkovec is rated by 247sports as the #1 dual threat QB in the 2018 class. He finished this past season with just over 2500 yards passing and 1200 yards rushing. His recruitment will likely come down to Ohio State, Notre Dame and Penn State. He visits ND on the 19th and Ohio State right after, the same week that another top 2018 QB, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, will be visiting Ohio State.

Brian Snead- 5'11 200 pound RB from Seffner, Florida. Snead has named Ohio State his leader multiple times and most recently, last week fresh off of a visit to FSU. Snead has outstanding burst and vision, he's a hard runner who hits the hole with a purpose and he's tough to bring down. He may not be the fastest RB, but he has more than enough speed to be effective in Ohio State's offense.

There are also a host of other names in state who could potentially get offered; LB Chris Oats, DL Leanord Taylor, LB Antwuan Johnson, LB Malik Vann, TE Trenton Gillison, OG Blaine Scott and DB Xavier Henderson. Not all will be offered, but would expect a couple from this list to be offered at some point.
