Recruiting Updates Post-Spring Game Weekend

2017 five star CB commit Shaun Wade told Rivals that he's 100% committed to Ohio State but he will take other visits, he likes the little trips. Wade mentioned that he had a lot of fun hanging with Clark and Judson the majority of the time and what stuck out to him the most was the fans yelling his name as well, when he walked out of the tunnel with the team. He also mentioned that he will help recruit the elite to Ohio State. 

2017 five star OT commit Josh Myers stated that he had an incredible time at the Spring game. He says that he talks to the coaches frequently and most of the time its about how he's doing in school & him helping with recruiting other elite kids. Myers also mentioned that the coaching staff has never brought up early playing time to him. 

2017 five star WR Trevon Grimes:

One of Rivals guys stated that they would be surprised if Grimes isnt committed to Ohio State by the end of the Summer. No other team is even challenging Ohio State for him right now. 

2016 five star DT Rashan Gary mentioned that he had a very good visit to Ohio State and that he felt at home at both Michigan & Ohio State. He has a very good relationship with both Chris Patridge from Michigan and Larry Johnson of Ohio State. He will cut his list down to a top 5 at the end of the Summer and take all 5 official visits before announcing at the Under Armour All America Game. 

2016 five star RB commit Kareem Walker says that he's 100% committed to Ohio State. He stated that he talks to Alford 3 to 4 times a week and he couldn't make it to the Spring game due to ACT testing, but he will be back for a visit this Summer. He will take official visits to Tennessee because of Guarantano and Rutgers because of the relationships he has there with current players and friends.

2017 five star WR Donovan Peoples-Jones has taken notice of Ohio State's 2017 class extremely hot start: 

2016 four star DE Ron Johnson has a top three of Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State. Rutgers and South Carolina also in the picture. 

2016 four star CB Patrice Rene stated that Ohio State were his dream school growing up and he wants to commit to a school this Spring, but more and more offers keep coming his way so he may end up delaying his commitment to take more visits.

2016 five star DT Dexter Lawrence
2016 five star DE Marlon Davidson

Ohio State is far behind for all of the guys mentioned, but getting them on campus is the first step in the right direction. 

2016 five star CB Levonta Taylor says he fully committed to FSU, but Ohio State is his number 2 school. This means nothing right now, but it will be one to watch later in this recruiting season if something drastic happens at FSU, like a coaching change. 

2016 four star CB Wayne Davis wasn't able to make it to the Spring Game as originally planned. He stated that Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Michigan stand out right now. He wants to go the distance and announce on NSD but it likely wont last that long.

2017 four star DT Darnell Ewell said Ohio State leads FSU, Michigan, VT and Bama. Same school as Jalyn Holmes and Wayne Davis. 

2016 four star OT Jauan Williams will no doubt go the distance, as he's planning to release a top 10 in November. Buckle up folks, Ohio State looks to be in this one until the end.

2016 three star LB Aaron Hansford won LB MVP at the DC NFTC. Expecting a big jump for him in 247sports next rankings updates.
