All,
We all know by now the Tiebreaker if there's a triangulation by the B1G 3.
This calculation assumes all finish 11-1. Therefore, I'm penciling in an extra Loss for Minnesota on week 12 against OSU.
- OSU's B1G Worst Slate: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Purdue
- Stalion's B1G Worst Slate: Nebraska, Minnesta, Purdue
- yes, OSU and Stalion share two common opponents, therefore it comes down to Wisconsin vs. Nebraska (Nov 18th, stay tuned)
- PSU's B1G Worst Slate: Illinois, NW, Iowa (no common opponents)
This is getting close... Iowa over Wisconsin (who's QB broke his hand) really hurts. Iowa is the only of the 7 combined crossovers with a winning conference record (wow).
Yesterday wasn't helpful either as Illinois edged Minnesota and Indiana shocked Wisconsin... Fortunately, the Spartans actually won a conference game over Nebraska (Michigan's only non-shared opponent).
Here's the current calculations (*WHICH ASSUMES Minnesota loses to OSU in 2 weeks, thus an extra loss)
OSU | W | L | TTUN | W | L | PSU | W | L |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Wisconsin | 3 | 3 | Nebraska | 3 | 3 | Illinois | 2 | 4 |
Minnesota | 3 | 4* | Minnesota | 3 | 4* | Northwestern | 2 | 4 |
Purdue | 1 | 5 | Purdue | 1 | 5 | Iowa | 4 | 2 |
Grand Total | 7 | 12 | 7 | 12 | 8 | 10 |
Well, what to root for next week (again, this all assumes 11-1 by the trinity, thus PSU > Stalion's next week)
- Wisconsin is the key
- Can they triumph over Northwestern next week?
- (And Over Nebraska in 2 weeks?)
- Can Rutgers please beat Iowa next week... perhaps they'll polish up their redzone offense a bit and learn to throw accurate passes in the first half
- Indy over Illinois next week?
I understand Michigan is going through investigations for certain misgivings and their post-season eligibility is not 100% certain... and this is all moot when OSU goes 12-0 (likely since they will have new signals by then).
