Several of McCord’s issues, like hitting receivers in stride or a little more touch on intermediate passes, are often corrected by simply getting more reps. Looking back, there were a lot of first team reps through training camp and even the first two weeks of the season that McCord could’ve gotten, but didn’t. For a little comparison, our last three new starting Qb’s (Haskins, Fields, Stroud) all received the lion’s share, if not all of the first team reps after the first week of training camp. I mean you’re looking at several weeks of stunted development. There’s no way that hasn’t impacted on McCord’s performance. The question is how much?
