UPDATE: Iowa @ Iowa St. is now $71 for lowest entry.  It was $15 yesterday.  Perhaps that one cheap ticket was purchased.  It's an In-state rival, not shocked it's a high value.

It's a great way of ascertaining fan interest.  I'm aware there's the dreaded fees (Pearl Jam tried to warn us about ticketmaster) and this is only the minimum price (cue Office Space jokes about being happy with the minimum).

But, the price of lowest entry has one major outlier.

• The Prime Time Era (combined with a win over overrated TCU in the opener) has generated MASSIVE interest against a team that leads the post covid CFB world in 1 score losses.
  • $336, roughly 9 times the cost of the 2nd highest ticket... UNLV takes on TTUN.
• OSU comes in 6th this week with an FCS opener (and the home debut of the Kyle McCord, or is it Devin Brown, or hybrid, or we're-still-working-out-the-kinks QB era)
  • Enjoy the cheap price as the lowest price to watch OSU go to South Bend in week 4: $513... really, over half a grand.
• Two for TWO DOLLARS??? That's basically a soda at McDonalds these days.
  • Maryland has ho-hum FCS fodder and they play in a division where their schedule all but assures them they won't win a conference division.
  • Northwestern is coming off a 1-11 season, a 24-7 drubbing against Rutgers, a firing of a beloved coach, and will compete for the title of 'worst in the Power 5.'
    • Not a typo: they are underdogs to UTEP.
    • Hard to believe less than 1 recruiting cycle ago they led OSU at the half.  Now see their home opener for the cost of 3 quarts of unleaded.
