Unlikely as it may be that such a moment will be seen, mostly due to the plethora of options the 2021 starting Quarterback will have outside of him, Chris Olave is positioned for a record-breaking moment which Ohio State fans have never seen (at least from what I can recall).

First, we must take note of two specific records in the Buckeye history book...
1. Receptions In A Career (201): K.J. Hill Jr. (2015-2019)
2. Receptions In A Season (90): Parris Campbell Jr. (2018)

Currently with 111 Career Receptions, Olave resides at 17th all-time in Ohio State history, and also holds two slots in the Top-50 Receptions In A Season Category...
2019: 49 Receptions (T-34th)
2020: 50 Receptions (T-32nd)

Please correct my math if necessary, but it would appear that if Olave were somehow able to reach 91 Receptions in 2021, he would effectively dethrone both Hill & Campbell with a single catch.

It's difficult to imagine it happening with Garrett Wilson joining him on the field, Ruckert returning to the team, and as the arsenal of younger talent continues to develop, but if he and Stroud/Miller/McCord start the season off in sync, then maybe by midseason fans will need to create a countdown to '91'.
