Just came across this article by Steve Helwagon of 24/7.com - in which he focuses on the Buckeyes represented in the most recent four-round mock draft from NFL.com’s Chad Reuter.
Reuter is predicting six Ohio State players will be selected in the first four rounds of the 2017 NFL draft. He has Malik Hooker as the fourth pick, overall
“Hooker's range and ball skills are top-10 worthy,” Reuter wrote.
- followed closely by Marshon Lattimore at number six
“ ‘Revis Island’ out, ‘Nevermore Lattimore’ in,” Reuter wrote.
That's it for the first round - but here's how he has the rest of the first four rounds figured as far as Ohio State is concerned.
His other Ohio State projections include:
* WR Curtis Samuel, second round, No. 34 overall to the 49ers;
* CB Gareon Conley, second round, No. 43 overall to the Philadelphia Eagles;
* LB Raekwon McMillan, second round, No. 64 overall to the New England Patriots;
* WR Noah Brown, fourth round, No. 106 overall to the Bears.
The two OSU combine attendees not listed in the four-round mock are offensive lineman Pat Elflein and punter Cameron Johnston.
I am a little surprised he has Gareon Conley going quite that late - and that he doesn't have Pat Elflein going anywhere at all in the first four rounds.
But hey - "Nevermore Lattimore" was new to me. That alone made this read worthwhile, imo -
