B12 expansion could create a plethora of teams willing to take a pay check with no return game. I assume the new teams would start conference play in 2017 with a nine-game conference schedule. BYU has ten games scheduled: Arizona, Cal, Wisconsin, Washington, Utah State, Boise, NIU, UMass, Hawaii, and Utah. I assume they would be under pressure to keep the in-state games. Let's say they keep Hawaii or UMass for a home cup cake. The others would have to find an opponent in short order. Boise might be most willing to take a pay check game.
Other B12 choices could come from the AAC. Let's say it's UC, UCF, and USF. I'm not sure the AAC would replace them all since they can have a title game with ten. Perhaps Houston (Herman will be gone), East Carolina, UConn, etc. would be pay check game candidates.
