Mike Hall Jr. is selected 54th overall in the second round of the NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns.
So, this week, CGD is visiting Waco, Texas for Oklahoma-Baylor. As we all know, we (ranked #3, 9-0) have this big matchup with Sparty (ranked #13, 8-1) next weekend. Of course, both teams need to take care of business against Illinois and Maryland this weekend, respectively. What other notable games are next weekend?
#19 UCLA (7-2) at #10 Utah (8-1)
#15 TCU (8-1) at #12 Oklahoma (8-1)
#6 Baylor (8-0) at #8 Oklahoma State (9-0)
#18 Northwestern (7-2) at #25 Wisconsin (8-2)
#21 Memphis (8-1) at #22 Temple (8-1)
Other than Baylor-Oklahoma State, where the former is getting the exposure this weekend, I think it is pretty evident that ESPN will be paying the defending national champions their first CGD visit since the 2010 game against Penn State (wow, right?). In addition, we are all aware that the kickoff time is scheduled for noon or 3:30. Simply put: CGD is not going to a noon game, or at least, it is very unlikely. Because of this, I expect that the kickoff time won't be announced until after CGD decides where they are going. In addition, late fall 3:30 games get the best of both worlds in terms of weather too: If you like daylight, you're in luck! You'll enjoy the first half. If you love how The Shoe seems to intensify when the lights go on, the second half is for you! Just thinking out loud about what could/will be a very fun environment here on campus next weekend.
Anywho, happy Friday! Enjoy your weekend and go Bucks! Beat Illinois.
