KNOW THE MAN WHO LEADS RUTGERS
Kyle Flood was hired by the Scarlet Knights in January 2012. He has led Rutgers to a record of 26-19 (.578). Prior to taking the head job at Rutgers Flood was the Scarlet Knights offensive line coach (2005-2012) and assistant head coach (2008-2012). He was promoted to head coach when Greg Schiano took the Tampa Bay Buccaneers job in 2012. Schiano led Rutgers to its first bowl win last season.
The 2015 season has not been easy for Kyle Flood. The Scarlet Knights have had several incidents off of the football field. Since May eight players have been arrested for robbery in two separate cases. Before the season opener five players were suspended for violating team rules. In September Flood was suspended for three games and fined $50,000 for violating school policy and NCAA regulations when he contacted a professor to get a player's grade changed.
Flood played high school football at St. Francis Preparatory School in NY. He played college football at Iona College of the All-Liberty Conference and graduated in 1993. I wonder if Iona will need a coach at the end of the season? Kyle Flood might be available.
