StuffedAnother week and another team gets its stats stuffed.

It's always interesting to see how a team's stats change after playing Ohio State.

Below you will be able to compare Hawai'i's stats before playing, and after playing, Ohio State.

THE OFFENSIVE NUMBERS

Many prognosticated that Ohio State would put at least 50 points on the board against Hawai'i. That did not happen. The Buckeyes' offense came nowhere near their performance against Virginia Tech. Although the numbers weren't up to par for Ohio State the Buckeyes were able to put up 28 more points than Colorado and 25 more passing yards.

Ohio State's offense owned third down. The Buckeyes' offense was able to convert on almost half of it's third downs. When a team is able to convert on third down it keeps a drive alive and deflates the opposing team's defense.

THE DEFENSIVE NUMBERS

Ohio State's defense performed much better than the offense. The Buckeyes shutdown Hawai'i's offense in every statistical category. The Buckeyes were most impressive on third down. Ohio State held Hawai'i to 2/14 (.143) on the critical down.

The Silver Bullets held Hawai'i to under 100 yards rushing and passing. That is an impressive stat considering Hawai'i averaged 149.5 yards on the ground and 214.9 in the air in 2014.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Hawai'i's special teams weren't that special against the Buckeyes. The Rainbow Warriors averaged 4.0 yards on punt returns, 14.5 on kickoff returns and 33.7 yards per punt. All three of those averages were below their season average.
