Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find a satisfactory answer.
I am trying to plan a post Christmas vacation, possibly to Miami. Of course, the Orange Bowl is Dec 31 and is one of the semifinal games.
If Ohio State finishes the season undefeated and number 1, they'll get the closest bowl. According to google maps, driving distance wise, Arlington, TX is closer than Miami. But I don't know if they measure it that way or by a straight geographic line. Should I assume that the Cotton Bowl is the likely destination unless they don't finish at number 1? Perhaps they lose once and sneak in at 4 again, and play the SEC champ in the Orange Bowl.
