Let's forget about how the Buckeyes won today, and break down what they are actually up against. First of all, Ohio State beat a ranked, two-loss team by ten on the road. The teams ahead of them include: Baylor on a bye who has a 14 pt loss to four loss West Virginia, A TCU team that Baylor beat that just beat a unranked seven loss Kanas by four, Miss. St. who just lost a close one to Alabama, and ASU who plays late. The top three will be locked down by Alabama, Oregon, and FSU if they win (in no particular order because it doesn't matter). When evaluating spots 4-8, Ohio State is the only team that won (maybe ASU too). And, they did it against a ranked team. Many have already been upset that Baylor was 3 spots behind TCU when they beat them. After TCU was so unimpressive, do they keep them that far behind? And, does Miss St. only drop three spots off a loss? I think the Buckeyes actually have a chance to move up one and perhaps even two spots.
I'd list the teams like this: 1 and 2: Oregon/Alabama 3: FSU if they win 4. Miss St. 5. TCU 6. ASU if they win/Ohio State if they lose 8. Baylor So....one or two spots not bad for a win everyone is pissed about.
