that Herbstreit's top 6 comes true and we somehow get placed ahead of Baylor and ASU. This would leave us with only two more teams to pass. The Alabama vs. Mississippi State loser almost surely drops below us if we move as high as 6. Even with SEC bias, that almost surely can't be avoided. To hold that spot over the loser of that game, we would have to impress more over our last three games if they didn't lose again. Assuming we do, that would leave a TCU vs. Ohio State vote for spot 4 if both teams win out.

After really evaluating it, I feel like we deserve to be ahead of Arizona State. They lost a game 62-27. As for Baylor, that is pretty much a tossup. But, Oklahoma showed little fight and they were already a two loss team. MSU's only loss was to a current top four and nobody picked us. Their offense was firing all game and we still won by double digits. I only really picked us to finish behind these teams (and maybe even Ole Miss) because they never give Ohio State or the B1G credit. Who knows.....maybe we get lucky and they noticed this time. Judging by some top fours, they did. Let's hope the committee did too.
